@robeverydayfinance: 👀💸How much you need to be on track for retirement, based on a $60k salary By age 30, you should aim to have 1x your salary invested. By age 40, this should be around 3x your annual salary. By 50, 6x your salary is the recommended level. By 60, compound interest is doing a lot of the heavy lifting. You should be around 8-10x your salary. By 65, you’re ready to retire at 25x your salary.
These numbers reflect the progression your retirement accounts make. Initially, the buildup is slow because your capital is lower. As time goes on and your balance increases, compounding growth takes over. ✍️👇 Are you on track to hitting your retirement number? Just throw some numbers up there. Doesn't account for pension(s), social security and a bunch of other things.

If you don’t tell people, they need to be an absolute great shape when they retire, then who cares about how much money they have.? They can’t do anything.

It depends on how much you are contributing. I started pretty late, but I'm making up for it now.

When you look at other countries that had unsuitable debt like Venezuela, Zimbabwe, ect. This is not near enough money for example it now take Venezuelans $10,000 for1 extra value meal and they wasn't near 40 trillion in debt when the economy crashed there.

I will not have made $1.5 million combined by age 65 so I certainly don’t need that much for my last 10 years.

I’m retired and I did quite well for myself considering I only had a high school education and went through a 23 year marriage and divorce. I should never run out of money

Depends on whether you have debt or not. If mortgage is paid off and no debt you can live well on SSI
