We got lucky and didn’t have to evacuate, the floor waters didn’t reach us but between the tornado and the derecho recently, our roof is fucked. My husband still had to go to work, even with 70 shut down just beside his job. They made everyone keep working even with the evacuation orders. Thankfully it never reached the building, but the damage out this way is catastrophic. I’ve seen so many water rescues recently. It’s never been this bad for as long as I’ve lived out here.
