I’m a diabetic and the endocrinologist wants to go up to 5mg although I’m still loosing weight at 2.5mg. Is that normal to increase because I’m diabetic?

What if you’ve already gone up? Can you taper back down?

I’m on semaglutide. This Wednesday past was my last starter dose of 0.25 mg. Starting next week it goes to 0.50 mg. I saw a video of yours that says a therapeutic dose should be 1-1.7 mg for semaglutide. There was no talk of going higher than 0.50 mg from my medical provider. Should I be concerned?

My opinion is don’t go up until you have tried everything you can to continue weight loss. I’ve lost 37lbs at the lowest dose. I did plateau early on but I increased my protein intake and I started losing again and haven’t stopped.
