Facts I got a $2,000 dollar bill for being there for 2 hours and when I received the bill I called the number and said I wanted to dispute the amount and wanted the break down of everything, it's been 4 years now never heard of them again or been billed again !

Yes, medical insurance is a scam. I work for an insurance company. They write off more than 80% of the actual bill. You’re better off saving the money that you would spend on premiums every month putting that in a separate account and when you need a doctor just do cash pay it’s a whole lot cheaper.

Cash procedures are cheaper than insurance paid procedures so my question is why doesn’t the insurance company just give you the cash that the Hospital would’ve charged the insurance company to pay the bill and then you just pay the bill with cash you can thank your dear politicians for not being able to do this
