there’s high chance you’ll get another roomate considering it’s still the beginning of the semester and people trickle in, this girl was in a double by herself for 3 months and they still gave her a new roomate before the semester was over

As a previous RA, I had a resident that never claimed their key that lived in a double… the other roommate combined the beds to make it a full - residence life couldn’t do anything bc the space was still in the other persons name, but they never claimed the key!

About the being sick thing. I’ve been nauseous for the past 3 days as well. MAKE SURE YOUR DRINKING WATER. I was badly dehydrated and my head was pounding 24/7!!!

this happened to me because my roommate decided to take a gap year and i ended up alone all year and it was the best. they reserve the right to place anyone in there at any point during the year and you are “required” to keep it ready at all times for some but i didnt gaf and made it my own

Remember, there's a small period of time at the beginning of college where someone can still enroll and get a dorm. So if you're gonna do anything to the space, wait until that time passes. This is for each semester too.

You could be getting a roommate later in the semester. In my college, we have an orientation week, and upperclassmen don't have to come in until AFTER orientation bc, yk, they aren't freshmen and don't need it. I've been told that if I do have roommates (it's a triple), they'd probably come this weekend 🤷
