@kzsdxya_: Lena had already accepted that Miu wasn't coming. She had asked that morning, of course, because it was impossible not to. It was an important day for her, one she had been looking forward to for months, and although Lena had never been the type to ask Miu to rearrange her entire life just because she wanted her there, there was always that quiet little part of her that hoped Miu would somehow find a way. But Miu had work, and apparently enough of it that she wouldn't be able to leave early. So when Miu told her she couldn't make it, Lena had simply smiled at the screen and replied that it was okay. She meant it, mostly. She understood. Work was work, and Miu had never been someone who made promises she couldn't keep. If she said she couldn't come, then she couldn't come. Lena had learned not to make herself disappointed over things Miu couldn't control. Still, as she stood in front of the mirror that afternoon, getting ready for the event, she caught herself thinking, Maybe she'll surprise me. She immediately shook the thought away. No. Miu had said she was busy. There was no reason to expect anything else. By the time Lena arrived at the venue, she had already pushed the thought of Miu to the back of her mind. There were too many things happening around her anyway. Cameras were waiting, staff were moving from one place to another, people were calling her name, and fans had gathered outside the venue with banners and phones raised high enough that she could barely see the barricades anymore. It was the kind of environment Lena had grown accustomed to after years in the industry, and she slipped into the familiar rhythm almost automatically. She smiled when the cameras turned toward her, greeted the people who approached her, answered questions about the movie, laughed at jokes she had probably heard a dozen times already, and allowed herself to enjoy the excitement of the evening. She was genuinely happy. She was proud of the film, proud of the work everyone had put into it, and grateful that so many people had shown up. Yet every now and then, whenever something particularly funny happened or whenever someone congratulated her, there was a small instinctive movement in her chest, the familiar urge to turn around and look for Miu so she could share the moment with her. She caught herself doing it once, then smiled at her own foolishness. Miu wasn't here. Except Miu was. She had simply made sure Lena didn't know. While Lena was busy in front of the cameras, Miu had already arrived through the back of the venue, moving as quietly as she could with a bouquet carefully held in her hands. She hadn't wanted to come through the front because there was no way she could walk into the event unnoticed. She knew exactly what would happen if fans recognized her, and she didn't want anyone accidentally ruining the surprise before she even got the chance to see Lena. Part 1️⃣ . Unfortunately for her, Miu had underestimated how observant fans could be. It didn't take long before a few people noticed her. A familiar face appeared behind the stage, then another phone slowly lifted, followed by a few whispers that quickly turned into excited looks. Miu immediately put a finger to her lips, shaking her head with an almost pleading expression. She gestured for them to stay quiet, quietly asking them not to make any noise. . She didn't need to explain much. The fans understood almost immediately. They knew what was happening. Miu was there to surprise Lena, and suddenly they had become part of the secret. So instead of screaming, they covered their mouths, nodded, and watched as Miu carefully slipped farther behind the stage, still holding the bouquet and trying not to laugh at how close she had come to getting caught. . She eventually found a place where she could see the stage without being seen by Lena. From there, she watched the woman she loved being interviewed, completely unaware that she was only a short distance away. Lena looked beautiful under the lights, smiling as she answered the questions, completely focused on the interviewer. . Miu watched her quietly, and for a moment, she forgot that she was supposed to be hiding. She simply stood there and looked at Lena. There was something strangely comforting about watching someone you loved when they didn't know you were watching. . She knew the difference between Lena's polite smile and her real one. She knew the tiny way Lena moved her hands whenever she got excited about something. She knew how she looked when she was tired but refused to admit it. She knew how her eyes softened whenever she talked about something she genuinely loved. . And as Miu watched her standing there, surrounded by people and lights, she couldn't help thinking that this was exactly why she had come. It wasn't because Lena needed her to. It wasn't because she had to prove that she cared. She simply couldn't stand the thought of missing an important day in the life of the woman she loved.

Part 4️⃣ . She didn't finish the sentence because Lena was already laughing. She could imagine it now, Miu sneaking through the back, hiding behind the stage, and apparently recruiting an entire group of fans into keeping the secret. Lena shook her head in disbelief, looking at her as though she couldn't decide whether to laugh or scold her. . Then she noticed the card attached to the bouquet. . Her hand immediately moved toward it. . Miu caught the movement. . "I'm not letting you see it." . Lena laughed. "Why?" . "Because." . "Let me see." . "No." . Miu's smile widened, but there was a nervousness underneath it now. She had managed to sneak into the venue, hide from Lena, convince fans to stay quiet, and rearrange her work schedule, but somehow the little card seemed to make her more nervous than all of that. . "My heart is racing," Miu admitted. . Lena looked at her for a moment, and something in her expression softened again. She didn't tease her anymore. Instead, she stepped closer, closing the small distance between them, and wrapped her arms around Miu. . The bouquet was caught awkwardly between them as the crowd erupted. . Miu laughed softly against her, finally allowing herself to relax now that the surprise was over. She hugged Lena back, and for a moment, the noise around them became nothing more than background. The cameras were still flashing. Fans were screaming. People were probably already posting videos online. But neither of them seemed particularly interested in any of it.

Part 3️⃣ . "Ahhh!!" . "Oh, it's a surprise! Thought you said you were busy with work?" Lena asked, her voice carrying a mixture of disbelief and laughter. . Miu smiled, almost shyly despite everything she had done to get there. "I hurried over." . Lena looked at her for another second, still trying to process it. "Did you finish work in time?" . "I ran for it." . The answer made Lena laugh, but the laughter didn't quite hide the emotion in her eyes. She looked down at the bouquet, then back at Miu, and the smile she gave her was no longer the one she had been giving the cameras all evening. It was smaller, warmer, completely unguarded. "Thank you so much!" . Miu looked at her, and for a moment her own smile softened. "…How could I not come?" The rest of what she said was almost swallowed by the noise around them, but Lena thought she heard something about it being a special day for her. And somehow, those few words were enough to make Lena's chest tighten. . "P'Joy said you wouldn't be coming," Lena said, still smiling. "'Nong is busy with work.'" . Miu laughed. "At first they wanted to finish at 6 PM, but I was like, 'No, no, change.' So we finished quicker by two hours." . "Two hours?" Lena repeated, her eyes widening. . Miu simply nodded as though rearranging two hours of work and running across the city was the most normal thing in the world. . Lena looked around then, finally noticing how strange everything had been. The quiet fans. The people who had been looking at her strangely. The suspicious lack of reaction from everyone around her. "Why was everyone so quiet? I didn't know at all that she was hiding here." . Miu smiled, almost embarrassed by the confession. "I kindly asked. I didn't want to come through the front but sneaked through the back and everyone…"

Part 2️⃣ . The problem was that getting there had not been easy. Miu's work had originally been scheduled to finish at six, which would have made it nearly impossible for her to arrive in time. She could have accepted it. She could have sent Lena a message saying she was sorry and promised to celebrate with her later. But Miu had looked at the schedule and decided that wasn't good enough. She had hurried everyone along, insisting, until they somehow managed to finish two hours earlier than planned. . Then she ran for it. She didn't even properly slow down until she reached the venue, because the only thought in her mind was that Lena was already there, and she wanted to be there too. Now she was standing behind a stage, asking fans to keep quiet and trying not to let Lena see her before she was ready. Her heart was already racing, partly from the rush and partly from the nervousness that had only grown stronger the closer she got to the moment she had been planning all day. . Lena continued talking, completely unaware. Then the interview finally began to wind down. The cameras shifted. The interviewer thanked her, and Lena smiled politely before turning slightly away. Miu knew that was her chance. She took a breath, tightened her fingers around the bouquet, and stepped out from behind the stage. . Lena turned. . For a moment, she didn't understand what she was seeing. . Miu was standing there. . Actually standing there. . Holding flowers. . Looking at her. . The expression on Lena's face changed so quickly that the cameras barely had time to capture it. Surprise came first, followed by disbelief, and then something softer that Miu recognized immediately. Lena looked like someone who had just discovered that the one thing she had already convinced herself she couldn't have was suddenly standing right in front of her.

last part 🔚 . Then Miu leaned closer and pressed a gentle kiss against Lena's shoulder. . It was such a small gesture, almost instinctive, but the cameras caught it perfectly. . And the reaction was immediate. . The crowd practically exploded. . Lena laughed, clearly caught off guard, while Miu pulled back with the most innocent expression she could manage. But there was no taking it back now. Hundreds of phones had captured it. The moment was already spreading through the venue before either of them had even fully separated. . And perhaps the most significant part wasn't even the kiss. . It was Miu's face. . For years, fans had known about her without truly knowing her. They had seen photographs taken from a distance at airports, blurry images from events, accidental shots where she happened to be standing beside Lena. They had seen the back of her head, her hands, her silhouette, pieces of her that had somehow become enough for people to recognize her. . Lena had never hidden their relationship, but she had always been careful about one thing. Whenever she posted Miu herself, the photographs were almost always faceless. A hand intertwined with hers. A figure standing beside her. A shoulder. Hair. A back turned toward the camera. Little pieces of the person who occupied such a huge part of her life, without ever giving the public the whole picture. . But today, Miu had stepped into the frame herself. . And now she was standing beside Lena, holding flowers she had rushed across the city to deliver, looking completely comfortable in the place she had spent so long avoiding. . Lena looked at her again, almost unable to believe that the woman who had told her she couldn't come was now standing right beside her. . "You really came," Lena whispered. . Miu smiled. . "Of course." . And that was perhaps the simplest explanation for everything. . Miu had been busy. She had work. She had every reason to stay where she was and let Lena have her special day without her. But loving someone sometimes meant looking at an important moment in their life and realizing that being absent simply wasn't something you could accept.
