I despise how people will consider you a pos for not being "normally attached". Like, you're not entitled to my time and friendship. When I choose to spend time with you, I'm choosing it, but any other time isn't the same circumstance. Also, to this comment section, you're not entitled to a goddamn birthday text. Op has their own life and their own feelings about things, it's really not that big of a deal. If their friend really has a problem with it, then they're perfectly free to stop considering themself Op's friend.
