This is exactly the kind of racist shit they were talking about when they said AI could be used this way. The world has spent so much time making Black people feel like our natural hair—especially locs, dreads, and textured hair—is somehow unacceptable, as if all hair is supposed to be straight. It’s not. Black hair comes in many different textures and styles, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing it naturally. This is deeply racist and rooted in the same harmful beauty standards that have been pushed onto Black people for generations.
