@glammomdeb: I’ve been following this case heavily, and there are still so many unanswered questions. But one thing that, to me, has been made clear is that Lindsay Clancy loved her children deeply and was a devoted mother. She was going through a severe mental health crisis, sought help, and in my opinion, the people and systems around her failed her when she needed them most. I truly believe she was suffering from postpartum psychosis, and I personally do not believe she should be held criminally responsible for the deaths of her babies. There are still so many questions surrounding what happened, including the role her ex-husband, Patrick, may have played. As a mother who experienced postpartum depression after my first child, I understand how dark and isolating that experience can be. And the hardest part? Not one person knew what I was going through. The constant worrying. The anxiety of wanting to be the perfect mother. The fear of hurting my own child. The sleepless nights. Crying while my baby slept. Feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, hurt, and sad, while everyone around me thought I was okay. I was fortunate enough to have my mom’s support, and that support helped me get through one of the hardest periods of my life. But not every woman has that. Some women are struggling emotionally, physically, and mentally while suffering in silence because nobody sees what’s happening behind closed doors. That’s why I stand with Lindsay Clancy. I’m not saying what happened doesn’t matter, and I’m not minimizing the unimaginable loss of those babies. I’m saying I see the mother behind the headlines. I see the woman who was struggling. I understand how postpartum mental illness can consume you in ways that are difficult to explain unless you’ve lived it. I feel her pain. I see her. And I believe we need to have more compassion, awareness, and support for mothers suffering from postpartum mental illness before it’s too late. ❤️ #lindsayclancy #lindsayclancycase #wearingpinktoday #wearingpinkforyou

I feel like people are missing the plot here… Patrick literally took her PPD and used it to his advantage. In his plan she wasn’t meant to be alive, but by some miracle she is… and everything comes to light one way or another.

If someone robs the bank because they need the money desperately for their dying kids’ medical bills - we will feel for them but they still committed a terrible crime. I also went through postpartum depression and so did my sister, so I absolutely empathize with Lindsay. It takes a village for a reason. But I can’t support knowing the outcome was their deaths bec I’m sure something evil took over, and the easiest target is a hurt soul and mind - to move on from kid to kid, and take their last breath, takes a whole different level of disconnection from reality. It’s a heartbreaking story for sure

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything. Texas here, thank you. I rather follow those who want change than those who want to silence the voices.
