@j.nyx: We honestly don’t know where else to turn. 💔 We were already struggling financially and needed a vehicle so Dad could get back to Ubering at night. He is the primary parent, childcare is unaffordable, and we had already been without a functioning vehicle for him to Uber with for months. I also had to miss several days of work this week because I’ve been extremely sick. We DID NOT have $5,750 sitting around. We borrowed $5,750 from a family member specifically to buy this vehicle. It was supposed to help us get ahead. Instead, we are now $5,750 in debt to a family member AND still have no functioning vehicle. During the test drive, the dealership directed us on a local route. We purchased the vehicle and drove off the lot. Approximately 15 MINUTES LATER, after getting onto the highway, the vehicle broke down. We then discovered that once it reaches around 50 MPH, it begins having serious issues!!! Something we could not discover during the short local test drive. After everything happened, we pulled the Carfax and discovered 91 previous reports, including information involving accidents and transmission issues. We were told they didn’t know about the transmission damage. After seeing the vehicle’s history, we now have serious questions about what they knew and what we were told. We also have concerns that the check-engine light may have been cleared or otherwise manipulated before the sale. We are trying to get an independent inspection to document exactly what is wrong. After the purchase, we found MULTIPLE reviews describing similar experiences with this dealership .. Reviews we did not see until afterward. We served them with a refund demand. When we returned, we were told we couldn’t record, despite not seeing any signs prohibiting recording, and were then told we were no longer welcome because it was private property. We were also allegedly told to “go ahead and sue” because they had “already dealt with us before.” Now we have to find MORE money for an independent inspection, potentially attorney fees, transportation, and our normal bills .. while still owing our family member $5,750. We were also told we had to pay an additional $200 simply to use a debit card. This wasn’t money we had to spare. It was borrowed specifically to get our family back on track. Now Dad can’t Uber, I’m missing work, we’re in debt, and we still don’t have a reliable vehicle. We are looking for a Texas consumer attorney experienced in auto dealer fraud, deceptive trade practices, and vehicle misrepresentation who can tell us what our rights are. If you’ve dealt with this dealership or had a similar experience, please share your story or point us toward legitimate legal help. 🙏🏽 📍 1854 Rigsby Ave, San Antonio, TX 📞 (210) 337-4998 We are documenting everything and seeking legal advice. #SanAntonio #CARfraud #UsedCar #CarDealership #GMC

Is it’s a dealer, you could sue them on the “lemon law.” That law protects you if you bought a car from a dealer and it keep failing, just don’t returned, sell it or exchange it.

If you get it powered on and towed to O’Riellys or a legit shop, they can run a diagnostic and tell you any codes that have been deleted.

I would have someone look over your contract, Buyers Guide, and any warranty paperwork first to see if the dealership actually breached anything. If it’s a financing/contract issue, you can file a complaint with the OCCC. If it’s a dealer, title, registration, or licensing violation, you can file with the Texas DMV. If it’s strictly breach of contract or warranty, you may need to speak with an attorney or pursue it through civil court.

You can sue because they obviously do a whole background check before buying a vehicle to sell but you can sue them for knowing every dealership checks so yes you can sue them contact an attorney and explain the situation
