In Canada, it’s far too easy to get your license. We need stricter licensing like Europe, because our roads are genuinely dangerous with how bad the drivers are.

They make us do all that but wont retest people when they get to the age of 60. If you have to go 30km/h and can’t see people when they’re right in front of you you should not have your license. They only get their license taken away AFTER they cause harm not before

Literally, like why is 30 hours of drivers ed mandatory, then 6 hours of driving with a driving instructor, then if you fail you have to wait 2 weeks to try again

Try Australia where you have to take a written test to get a learners listens then do 120 hours of learners hours with a full licence individual present and log it inside of book. Then take another online test called hazard prevention and then take the practical drivers test whilst spending a lot of money to just then be able to drive 90 km an hour with restrictions for a year and then pay more money to move up to driving 100km for two years and then pay more to finally be a full licence driver. The process starts from 16 and ends at 20 if you pass everything the first time

Where are you all living where drivers Ed is mandatory? In Alberta you take an optional learners test at 14 to drive with a graduated driver. At 16 you take a drivers test to become a non-graduated driver, and at 18 assuming you have no incidents you become a graduated driver. That’s all you gotta do 😭

Pleaseee a canadian answer me😭: can I get my G1 (road driving license) in 8 months instead of 12 months?? BUT in order to take the exam 8 months later I have to sign up for driving classes online/in-person? Is this correct???? Cuz if it is it will be much more better reduce it to 8 months

The graduating system in Ontario was introduced after 3 teenagers died in a car accident in Guelph. The drivers have 5 months experience and 4 months experience. If they had more experience, they might not have gotten into the accident and died. Since the graduating system was introduced, teen car accidents and deaths have gone down. The system literally saves lives. Maybe before you complain about the system you should look into why it exists in the first place.
