I never watched any other BTS media, so I genuinely didn't know they were racist. Which, yes, was very stupid of me, but I was 14 years old when I was their fan and I only recently rejoined the fandom. I only discovered they're racist because of the Chris Brown controversy, and I was genuinely surprised that no BTS controversy ever gets out of the spotlight, to the point that even other armys wouldn't know about it unless it shows to them by chance
