remember, thor's Hammer is just a regular Hammer with power. it is not heavy, so thor uses his strenght to push the Hammer to stenghten his attack, it will only had thor's force and not the worthyness of mjlonir

Mjolnir was created by Odin and he threw a bonding curse on it saying only the worthy can take it but stormbraker was made by thor himself and no such curse was said therefor thanos can pick it up

Stormbreaker does not have the “worthy” rule, and Thor didn’t let go of Mjolnir, he was simply using part of its weight to gain more leverage. Also, thanos was pushing Thor’s hand NOT Mjolnir. Thanos is not worthy, he was smart enough to know he couldn’t resist Mjolnir’s weight, but CAN resist the wielder.
