@singapore_football_goat: Wow… what a journey it has been for the lions… The 1st leg saw Singapore 1-3 down against Thailand, meaning that it was going to be a mountainous task for the lions in the 2nd leg… To be frank, many people, including me, thought it was impossible for the lions to recover from a 2 goal deficit as no team has done it before, but soon I was proven wrong… these group of fighters persevered and stayed resilient while playing at the Rajamangala stadium, defying the odds by scoring two against a mighty South East Asian side… goals by the Stewart brothers made us Singaporeans believe that a comeback was imminent… just like how we had done against India and Hong Kong… Despite exiting the asean championship semifinals with a 4-3 loss on aggregate, this group of people made us believe the impossible and rewrote the meaning of “fight for your country”… From the bottom of my heart and from the bottom of every Singaporean’s hearts.. a big thank you lions 🙏🏼 Now as we look ahead, the fifa asean cup and the Asian cup awaits the lions… I sincerely hope that we carry this same Singaporean spirit into these tournaments and show the world what Singapore can be!!
