NO!!! You should never leave your baby alone with your mother because of the history and bad decisions. And his reaction is a red flag...all it takes is a few minutes for your child to be hurt or worse.

the way she would never see me or my baby again. the mom should be lucky you’re even willing to be around her knowing what she let happen to you. the fact that she went and told the bf and exaggerated what was said lets me know everything I need to know about that woman. she’s male centered and would not protect your child if it meant losing her man.
