I think the biggest step to healing is realizing these people are incapable of emotional connection. They are done w you once they no longer have a use for you . It’s hard to grasp but once you do , things get much better . I was married to one years ago. Give yourself time and u will thrive w out them. They are miserable asses

very true. he entered as the best thing that can ever happen in my life. I couldn't understand why he began stonewalling? and his demand for money will put my whole family in danger. It was a difficult decision to let go of him. letting go the best thing in my life. only now I can see it was an illusion all along

I believe that. Was very different as a child, until puberty. Even worse when drugs and menopause came along! Then she was emotionally cold and distant. She used people for what she could get. When, in my 70’s, I started losing my ability to walk, she up and disappeared. That was 5 years ago, not a word from her. Broke my heart.
