@mothershipsg: Hope uncle recovers soon ๐ฅฒ When Mothership visited the store on Aug. 21 around lunchtime, 73-year-old Yeo Song Khoon was already back at work and taking orders despite his back fracture. Since the incident, customers have been turning up in droves to show their support. One of them is Jo Ng, a long-time customer who has been eating at the stall since his secondary school days. The 40-year-old brought his daughter along to show his support, hoping that the visit would encourage Yeo to feel comfortable interacting with young children again. #mothershipnews
Actually we believe, older people hand on head is sign of blessings.

The guy shouldnโt have beat up the uncle -100%. Honestly, heโs just looking for a fight letโs be real. But does it mean we should freely allow people to touch kids? Comeon

thereโs a difference between good touch and bad touch. a simple pat on the head or a high five can be completely normal and harmless depending on the context. children should be taught what touch is appropriate and that they can say no when theyโre uncomfortable. teaching them about good and bad touch means helping them understand the difference between safe and appropriate contact and what is not, so they know what is normal and what isnโt. if yโall teach them that everything is wrong, the child is gonna grow up thinking every form of physical interaction is wrong and start complaining about normal human interaction ๐ญ

Yes, what that guy did by flinging an elderly man with mobility issues to the ground was objectively wrong. But touching a child without asking their parent first is weird.

Abam Sambal KelentangKelentonG :
Before touching someone elseโs childโeven with something as harmless as a gentle pat on the headโstrangers should always acknowledge the parents first. A simple nod, eye contact, or a friendly "hello" goes a long way.
Not only does this respect boundaries, but it also teaches children healthy awareness rather than normalizing the idea that unfamiliar adults can casually touch them.
While using physical force against an elderly person is definitely an overreaction, it is also easy to see where that parental defensiveness comes from. Unfortunately, because of bad actors with ill intentions in our society, parents are constantly on high alert. Mutual awareness and a little communication from both sides can prevent these misunderstandings entirely.

BABYSHAYANG [BOSS GOALS GLORY] :
We love u uncle... i also dun mind my child being patted on especially elderly. sometimes we dunno they miss their child who are busy with their own lives or grandchildren, that their child dun bring the grandchildren by. So to each its own. My kids are ok because they feel loved if any elderly does that to them as they miss their grandparents (my husband side) who have passed on. So the netizens if u feel u dun like it ,again, to each its own, but this issue is not abt the patting. Even if u aren't happy abt anything, do not resort to be unrespectful to the elderly. talk and sort things out, if can't settle things amicably then get authorities to step in. Not this way. Using force against an elderly where their bones are fragile, is really uncalled for. So for someone now to comment this guy is going for fame, come on.. seriously? He have a heart of gold. If he knows how to respect an elderly means he respect his family as well as his wife. So think before u all speak. Spread love not hate. Nothing nice to say just keep those words to urself.
