But his message came through his attorney—and it was brief. “Hayden’s D*eath remains under investigation and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed,” attorney Sloan Ellis told TMZ. The statement also noted that police have reported no signs of foul play. Panettiere, 36, was found D*ad inside an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina, over the weekend. According to a police report obtained by Page Six, Hickerson’s brother, Zach, discovered her while Brian was sleeping in another room. Emergency responders attempted CPR. Brian later gave authorities a bag containing medication Panettiere had reportedly been taking. Officials have not announced an official cause of D*eath. The Drug Enforcement Administration has also joined the investigation, while an autopsy reportedly found no trauma that contributed to her D*eath. Panettiere and Hickerson had been linked on and off since 2018, and their relationship had a troubled history. In 2021, Hickerson pleaded no contest to two felony charges connected to Domestic Viol*nce. He received jail time, probation, mandatory classes and a restraining order.
