I always told my kids this...AND they gossip in the staff room about the kids! I worked in a school for 15 years and they tell everyone who their liked and disliked kids are and why! Now a teacher you haven't even met has a preconceived idea of who you are!!! Smile be pleasant and helpful if required, their gossip will help build a good reputation for you!
