The “Lauaki” name also came about in Ha’amoa from when he got his tatatau. it’s said that he got his tatatau in one sitting. It was 2 tufuga that worked on him (Tuilagi and Namulauulu) .. Namulauulu was the one who finished his tatatau. Taufaahau was so impressed with his work that he bestowed the name Lauaki onto Namulauulu. His son then carried the Lauaki name and it was the son Mamoe that made the Lauaki name famous in Ha’amoa. Lauaki is their matai name now (Mamoe “Lauaki” Namulauulu)
