That's because every Tuesday they raise prices.New stickers are printed out and the employees have to put them over the old stickers for the new pricing.If the employees don't do that , then the prices don't get changed

I understand the frustration with this and I’m not trying to make an excuse. I am stating facts I work at a Dollar General and the amount of work that one person has to do, while being short staffed because nobody wants to stay there They do not give the hours to get the price revisions done 100% on one shift.

It’s called being understaffed and jobs not being done. My store that I was a keyholder at, we were supposed to print price changes weekly and replace the stickers but we couldn’t always do it due to being the only one in the store and being expected to stock, run register, and do price changes all for $11 an hour. Dollar general mistreats all of their employees without any remorse or care

I usually buy kitty litter there and I was paying $6.45 for a 20 lb bag of Special Kitty , kitty litter, went back about a week & a half later and the same product was now $ 9.45 ....that's price gouging
