This vaccine was made for exactly one person on Earth. And it worked. Moderna built it, and it just became the first of its kind to pass a Phase 3 trial. Chemo poisons everything in your body and hopes the cancer gives out first. This works the other way around. Think of it as a custom wanted poster for your immune system. It tells your body, "This is what your cancer looks like. If you find another cell that matches, kill it." So here's how they build one. Doctors line up the patient's cancer DNA next to their healthy DNA. AI then finds up to 34 mutations, basically DNA typos, that show up in the cancer and nowhere else. Those 34 typos become a vaccine that fits one patient and nobody else. They pair it with a second treatment that stops the cancer from shutting the immune system down. And the results were insane. Five years after surgery, 69% of the patients who got the vaccine combination were still cancer-free. On the existing treatment alone, that number was 49%. It also cut the risk of the cancer reaching another organ by 59%. And now a Phase 3 trial with over a thousand patients has succeeded too. That means Moderna can now ask regulators to approve it. Moderna's stock almost tripled in a single day, because investors understood what this could mean. This hasn't cured every type of cancer yet.
