Here are a few things I wish I knew before going 👇🏽✨ 🌸 Ticket Pricing: Tickets start at 3,600 yen (~$24–25 USD) for adults, but pricing can vary by date/time, so book ahead online if possible. 👣 Wear easy slip-on shoes or sandals You’ll be required to remove your shoes (and sometimes roll up your pants) because several exhibits involve walking through water barefoot. 🍴 Eat before you go You’ll likely spend 1.5–3 hours here depending on crowds and how much time you spend taking photos. There is food onsite, including gluten-free options and even gluten-free ice cream, which I thought was such a nice touch. 🚻 Bathrooms are very clean Random, but important because I know somebody always wants to know 😂 Very clean facilities and lockers are available for personal belongings. 👨‍👩‍👧 Kid-friendly—but be aware Kids can absolutely enjoy this experience, but some exhibits include dark rooms and water-based installations, so if your little one is afraid of water or dark spaces, keep that in mind. ⚠️ Light sensitivity warning Most rooms are pretty gentle, but the light installations can become intense in certain spaces, especially the mirror/light rooms. If you’re sensitive to flashing lights or prone to seizures, this is something to consider. 📸 Reminders: • Wear shorts, cropped pants, or something easy to roll up • Charge your phone/camera—you’ll take a LOT of photos • Go early or book off-peak times for smaller crowds Overall? teamLab Planets TOKYO was one of the most unique experiences I had in Japan and absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. #teamlabplanets #tokyo #travel #japan
