if ibwas in that position (the kid) and i woke up later to find out that one of my parents was arguing with drs to NOT do what was needed to the point my other parent had to go behind their back to help me, you can guarantee I'd be cutting off the parent who wanted to argue against my help. I also wouldn't give a rats ass if their excuse is "but I love you and want the best for you." clearly not.
