According to Ward 11 Councillor Andile Ganca, the community is angry and deeply concerned about the safety of the young victim, following reports that the suspect went straight to the victim's home after his release to inform the family he was out of custody. The situation has sparked widespread fear, particularly because the suspect reportedly lives close to the victim's home. Cllr Ganca says it is now critical for the courts and relevant authorities to take urgent steps to protect the victim and their family while the case makes its way through the justice system.
