AVOID DOING THIS ON YOUR LEG CURL ❌ One common mistake I see when people perform a lying leg curl is they lift their pelvis off the seat and end up going into excessive lumbar extension. This can be due to trying to get a greater range of motion or due to using a lot of momentum. You want to keep your pelvis on the pad! It can come up a little bit but you want to be aware of how much lumber extension you’re going into. Aiming for a greater range of motion on a leg curl or bring the pad to your butt is not getting your hamstrings any shorter, once you reach full knee flexion, they can’t get any shorter. Shorten your range of motion and you’ll most likely find you feel more of your hamstrings working. Be sure you’re grabbing onto handles and tightening your lats.
