I have 0 sympathy because the truth is, if a man had mental health issues and committed triple homicide, the Lindsay Clancy crowd be calling for his EXECUTION.

I completely agree with him. He knows that he wants to have a family and is looking for good qualities in his future wife and mother of his children. It shows maturity. Good for him!

“My girlfriend supported a mom who murdered three of her children so I broke up with her” is an extremely valid sentence 😂

This comment section is insane. I thought mental health didn't excuse bad behavior? Or is that only for men?

Sounds like she dodged a bullet. He would obviously be a shit partner if you are struggling postpartum. Because if Lindsay Clancy had postpartum, and this part is important , PSYCHOSIS she quite literally would not have been in her right mind, I know someone who has had psychosis and it is sm more serious than a lot of you realise. In that case she should be found not guilty BY REASON OF INSANITY (the legal definition) which to be VERY clear is not freedom, it is a life time in an institution, see Andrea Yates for reference. And let me also be very very clear, a willfully, or unknowingly neglectful husband is the difference between that mother getting the help she needs, and something like this happening. What that man is saying, is if his future wife was unwell, he would not put in the effort needed to keep her and their kids safe, while she recovers.

I saw a pregnant woman leaving her bf because he laughed off postpartum worries she had. An amazing woman and mom

I genuinely think if you’re planning on having kids people need to research on postpartum mental health and talk about what to do if something happens like that and talk about check points and stuff

If a man says that he had sympathy for Epstein... Would it be intelligent for any woman to still consider him as viable option to potentially become her husband?

So because we're questioning the evidence and the timeline we're siding with Lindsay Clancy ? A body in jail isn't what is gonna bring justice to those children, truth is what's gonna do so.

Fun fact: Postpartum depression is not some unique, otherworldly form of depression that men simply cannot comprehend. Postpartum depression, clinically speaking, is... just depression. “Postpartum” describes its timing and context; it doesn't create an entirely different depressive experience. As a combat veteran who suffers from PTSD, I've experienced severe depression stemming from combat trauma, wounds sustained in combat, and, sadly, the racism I experienced from fellow Marines (it got pretty bad). I've experienced the same core depressive symptoms that those who suffer from PPD would: hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, irritability, withdrawal, impaired functioning, etc. All of the emotions women with PPD describe, I have felt. Those experiences don't become fundamentally different because childbirth was the catalyst instead of combat trauma/combat wounds. Yes, there are biological and contextual factors specific to postpartum depression. But the depressive syndrome itself is not exclusive to women. A different catalyst doesn't create some uniquely female version of depression that men cannot understand, and I'm tired of women invoking childbirth as though it does. And despite what some women think, PPD isn't uniquely dismissed by this country. Depression in all its forms is dismissed. We send 18-year-old boys to war, watch many return traumatized, and tolerate those same veterans ending up homeless without treatment. We don't excuse depressed men who annihilate their families, nor should we. Depressed women shouldn't receive a different moral standard simply because their depression followed childbirth. The larger failure is how we treat mental illness, not that depression somehow becomes uniquely incomprehensible when the person suffering from it is a woman, or that society suddenly becomes uniquely indifferent to depression when the sufferer is female.

I think breaking up should be less... villainized? It should be okay to break up with someone in a way that is like "You're cool, and your opinion/habit/whatever is fine, but it is fundamentally incompatible with who I am or want to be."
