This almost happened to me but with a state trooper, and we were pulling a trailer. Highway patrol supervisor laughed then said “oh… we’ll take care of him” after he remotely pulled up his footage.

If you was going to do a U-turn apply brakes, then turn on lights. Don’t try to do a U-turn and then apply your light after cutting off the traffic like that.
