@aljazeeraenglish: The US Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, has indicated a change in US strategy towards Iran, focusing on economic isolation rather than ‘large scale US attacks’. Al Jazeera’s Mohammad Saleh has the latest.

Yeah, unfortunately, this is the Winning Strategy. I’ll explain. Iran has shown (contrary to what American political narrative would say) that it CAN fight. And not only that it can fight, but that it has escalation dominance in the fight. Which is fair, because it’s a defensive and home-turf advantage. America also knows that it doesn’t want the negative narrative of having a “puppet” state, therefore, it wants a country that is democratic and somewhat reasonable (to an objective mind) in negotiations and future dealings, business, etc. you can only achieve this by not having a hand in construction of the next government (so that the people negotiating for their side in the future can be deemed as fair and not “owned” and fairly representing the needs of their people in the negotiations). America knows when cost of living and food and necessities of life get unreasonably expensive for the society’s mean income, the Iranian society does not take it, and takes to the streets. America is trying to incite/engineer a grass root revolution (that brings about a democracy). Issue is that they haven’t done it many times and if they have succeeded before, it hasn’t been in a country like Iran). Anyways, the reason why this is the Winning Strategy, is that as long as Iran won’t initiate an attack (because it will only retaliate to US violence) and if the US is able to ease the oil pressure by getting some oil/gas through the Omani side, then America is able to sustain this current state and condition for a long time. Inevitably, as time goes to infinity, Iran’s government will keep getting smaller and weaker and more hated by its own people (than however “badly” they think “America” is). This will basically lead to Iran government holding on as long as its people let it choke them out (and starve and die) til they stop. Very unfortunate situation but Iran knows if it triggers and escalates, if it miscalculates, the whole oil/gas, and water, and electricity of the whole region is toast. It also knows that if it takes this route, and it fails, it will not leave anything behind for the remaining generations that would come. In essence, ruining God’s gift to that region’s peo

Since Trump claimed that the Strait of Hormuz is opened he should ask the US Navy to sail through and show the world that his words meant something. Even better if he was on board one of the ships even in a catering cart

Roll up your sleeves because we're making meatballs!! 🍝 Let us introduce you to Chicken Piccata Meatballs—tender, juicy, and definitely the dinner switch-up that you need! Continue reading or click the link in the @allrecipes bio for the full recipe. 👇 Ingredients: 2 shallots, finely minced 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup half and half 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs, divided 2 tablespoons finely minced parsley, divided 1 large egg 2 tablespoons capers, divided 1 pound ground chicken 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 3 tablespoons olive oil, plus more as needed 1/4 cup white wine 1 1/4 cups chicken stock 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 3 tablespoons cold butter, cut into cubes Directions: Add half of shallots to a large bowl. Stir in Parmesan cheese, half and half, 1/3 cup bread crumbs, 1 tablespoon parsley, and egg. Roughly chop 1 tablespoon capers and add to the bowl; add ground chicken. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently together until everything is well incorporated. Add remaining bread crumbs to a work surface or shallow dish. Form chicken mixture into 12 meatballs, rolling each one lightly in bread crumbs to coat and to help shape the meatballs. Heat oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs to skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes, adding more oil if necessary. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside. Add remaining shallot and capers to the skillet and cook stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Pour in wine and stock and bring to a boil. Return meatballs to the skillet, reduce heat, and simmer until liquid is reduced by half, stirring occasionally, to coat meatballs in the sauce, 6 to 7 minutes. Once sauce is reduced, move meatballs to one side of the skillet and turn the heat to very low. Whisk in lemon juice and cold butter, stirring constantly, until well incorporated and slightly thickened. Stir in parsley and remove from heat. Toss meatballs well with sauce and serve immediately. 📸: @NicoleMcLaughlin #meatballs #DinnerIdeas #CookingHacks #chickenpiccata #dinner
