@charlottecareerlife: I do consulting occasionally on the side of my FT job. I haven’t done as much recently as my Ft job has cracked down on the type of additional work their employees can do, however this was money from a job I completed last year! The amount of stress I have had in trying to get paid from this work was insane. I filled out so many forms, got told constantly that my invoice would be paid the following month etc and nothing. It took me threatening small claims court for them to finally pay out. Luckily for me this was additional work but if I was self employed completely this would have been awful. Anyway I budgeted the money across my savings accounts and the rest I put aside for taxes and anything else left over after tax time will go back to savings as well. So close to my emergency fund goal ! #workingmums #Budgeting #money #savingmoney #career
