My old first sergeant was a female she sat all of us male NCOs down and gave a class on female uniform regulations and all that. She then gave us a print out of it all to keep on us. And she said that if we make a correction to a female and she calls EO but we are right first sergeant will personally go with us to the EO office with regulation in hand and lose it on whoever is in charge. Leadership makes a difference when it comes to things like this. Now I won’t say anything because I no longer have her backing me even if I’m right I won’t risk it.

Yes and no, I think a lot of them are too scared to confront females. The amount of times I’ve had male counterparts ask me to go correct a female on their hair, top, etc…. I could buy a new house.

I work with a female (in another plt) who I’ve corrected for hair, eyelashes, nails, and having earrings on in PTs. Within DAYS of each correction. Went to her all male leadership and said something and they said “we leave her alone bc she reports people for bullying when she’s singled out”. It’s not an incorrect way to single her out imo 🤷🏼‍♀️she’s the only female in that section and she’s wrong. She should be corrected. You can’t be afraid to correct a female in fear of catching a case. Bc if you’re truly right in the correction, nothing will come of it.

Too many NCO‘s, don’t know the regulations. I was friends with a black female who had blond hair and she got corrected for that, but that’s not against regulation all these blocks of instruction that we get all these NCOPD one of these might need to be regulations

So, I get where you are coming from. However, coming from the male perspective. Correcting a female comes with high risk low reward for most. I watched an E7 lose all momentum in his career because he got a false claim on him. Though he was cleared it wasnt until after his first look. He was put into the RCP bin and was no longer looking at MSG like he was being put built up for. It is a forced mechanism in a lot of people who want to progress in their career without problems.
