My biology department yesterday spent the day breaking into / luring the chair out of his office so we could steal his stuff to use as props in our “silly” faculty headshots. He only knows about the professional ones, but we are switching them all out with the unhinged ones when he is about to retire in May. So yes biologists really are having all the fun.

in my biodiversity class, we were asked to bring any alive animal (not the endangered species obviously) and my classmates brought cat, dog, fish, even cockroach, rat and iguana 😭 and i brought a bird btw 😅

In my genetics lab we were comparing pre-made kits vs. no kits for PCR. Almost all the groups who used the kits got 0 banding while almost all groups who had no kits got strong banding. That wasn’t supposed to happen LOL and then we had to do our final presentations based off that scuffed experiment 😭
