Narcissist: a person with an extreme focus on themselves, a high sense of their own importance, and a low ability to care for the feelings of others. We can agree on that right?
mayne's statement isn't even close to what Christianity teaches. First, the problem of suffering/evil. When God created us, there was no suffering or death. God gave us free will, which connects to Genesis 2:16–17, and when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin entered the world and humanity became subject to suffering and death. But in Thomistic philosophy, evil isn't really a "thing" that God created. Evil is a privation or lack of a good that should be there.
Second, the "narcissist God' argument. A person who constantly needs praise and can be narcissistic we agree?, But God doesn't need our worship or praise bcs God is perfect and lacks nothing. He doesn't force you to worship Him either, because He gave us free will. Love cannot be forced. If you reject Him, God doesn't force you to love Him.
And narcissism also involves a kind of deficiency and disordered self-love. God doesn't have that deficiency because He is the fullness of being and goodness. God loving Himself isn't like a human being obsessed with themselves, because God is the highest Good itself.
And when God saw humanity doing all the evil things we could possibly do, rejecting Him, and even blaspheming against Him, He still chose to offer salvation to us. In Christianity, the Son of God even took human nature and gave Himself on the Cross for our salvation.A God who is all powerful or absolute you can say CHOSE TO FORGIVE AND LOVE US(BUT STILL he's not very loving,God is So NARCISSISTIC I SEEAR)😹😹
