University Radiology is awful. They refuse repeatedly to update my insurance information and keep sending me bills stating that my insurance was terminated. The insurance they keep trying to bill is from 15 yrs ago and they have been given my current insurance info 12 different times, including the day I scheduled my appointment and the day of my appointment.

Worst part is not just the BS of the paperwork stuff (good job not signing btw) but the fact that you have to wait 5 months to get your test done.

I understand the changes and bs doctors offices have to go thru for insurance, however, your imaging is pushed 5-6 months down the road because they don’t want to do PA and it’s easier to use other facility. What happened to being advocate for the patient? A lot can happen in 6 months.

At the dentist yesterday in Florida, I have Aetna dental, the office visit was covered but the minor procedure wasn’t, they showed me the amount and I signed and approved it, totally transparent

This!! With UHC! Exact same thing and I’m level D density with two existing cysts they are trying to watch. I had to sign a waiver too and they only covered 1 breast?? Like what?! I have a cyst on each side.. I was also told I couldn’t have my annually recommended mamo and ultra sound without having a “Pap” (office rules) I had a total hysterectomy in 2013… what are you “papping”?! 🤦🏻♀️nothing but a run around these days.. had to find a different imaging clinic after 10 yrs using the same place. (Nebraska)

I always go to Princeton radiologist, I get my a week after I call. I have Blue Cross and I have no problem. My doctor never emailed and they said that that's fine. The radiologist place was wrong

why wasnt it ordered as a diagnostic mammogram from the beginning? I have dense breast tissue and thats how it is ordered yearly because I need the ultrasound.

@melissasooy: AMI in South Jersey found my breast cancer when it was barely a shadow on my mammogram so only stage 1. They treated me with kindness and compassion every step of the way from the biopsy to calling me to say it was breast cancer. I will never go anywhere except AMI for all of my imaging. Hope you have a great experience with them too.

My husband needed an MRI quickly because we were going away. And our insurance company always takes at least a week for pre authorizations. And the doctors office told us to ask if there is a self pay option. We thought it would be very expensive. Self pay was $425. And our co pay for mri is $125. So we decided to do it because again we were traveling and wanted to make sure his ankle was okay to travel.

My Dr prescribes the mammogram and ultrasound at the same time. I have dense tissue so I get the mammogram, they confirm that it’s dense, and I get the ultrasounds right after. Mammograms, follow up imaging and necessary biopsies are covered under the ACA.
