If you are talking about two soldiers dancing with their weapons on them, the reason veterans are pissed about this is because we know first hand that it only takes one second of not being alert with your surroundings for you to become a victim of opportunity, they are suppose to be vigilant and defending our country from harm; how is that happening if your focus is making TikTok videos instead of watching the surroundings???? Army Veteran and I have friends buried in Arlington Cemetery for roadside explosions. So, no you don’t get a pass.

Respectfully top, let their DS / NCOs correct them. As a DS right now, that honestly isn’t that big of a deal. I brief my Soldiers all the time about social media but all I saw were privates having fun dancing. I get their uniforms weren’t in regs but let’s be honest, even in the box or deployments we don’t follow it 100%. How can we recruit ongoing generations when all we do is bash Soldiers on social media. If previous generations had TikTok, it would be much worse content

I think and this is just my opinion, ban being on social media in uniform period, no matter what the rank is. And it should be fair across the board. Now two Senior NCOS (E-8) had issues a few weeks ago. And did anything happen to them? If not then ask yourself why not.

“Don’t do anything to embarrass yourself, your unit or the Army.” Words my Captain use to say before every dismissal for the weekend….he was KIA in Iraq in 2003; even though I have been out for 22 years; those words still hold true today. Respect the uniform not for yourself but for what it represents and for those who sacrificed their lives wearing it. NCO’s would need to be counseled if corrective action was not administered; in my humble opinion.

Appreciate the video 1sg. I did get some backlash but it’s okay. I knew what I was getting into when i posted it. I can’t say I’ve been perfect in my career far from it but it was a simple correction the videos are getting out of hand. How everyone takes it is on them truly. Think a dude said something about my hair rubber band on my wrist to be put in my hair lol i didn’t expect to win a fight here just a learning video and i hope it impacted someone in a good informational way 🤷🏽‍♀️
