my husband got a vasectomy in 2021 & in 2024 i got pregnant again. then i got my tubes removed. the chance of another is low, but it’s possible. happened to me!🤭

I grieved the loss of my fertility after I got my tubal. Though I know every reason, and how valid my choice was, I still grieved. The ending of a chapter, no matter how beautiful, will always be an ending. It’s okay to grieve it.

2 things can be true at once. 1. You agree with the decision for whatever reasons you both have. And 2. You are also mourning that aspect of your lives together, that you’re done having kids. A chapter has closed. And that’s okay🥺🫶🏻

16 years, 4 babies later, he had his in March. It was unbelievably hard to accept and is a unique form of grief if you ask me. Mothering and parenting with him is my life’s greatest gift. What do you mean no more pregnancy. Birth. Nursing. Newborn. 💔

I got a tubal 12 years ago, combined we have 6 sons, ages 20-12 and I still feel sadness of the daughter we will never have. But it's ok, our sons are amazing human beings.

Husband is 3wks post op and I wasn’t sad at all. I’ve had a few moments of “sad this chapter is closing” but I’m also in the depths of PPD and cannot go through it again🤪

I remember crying in the hospital after my c section and tubal which I had done together after my 2nd daughter bc it was the finality of it and knowing the baby I was holding would be my last and I never got a son 😂The hormones were mostly to blame I’m 8 years out and I’m so glad I didn’t have anymore 😂

My husband and I are expecting our first in February and I keep telling him as soon as our third is here, he’s getting snipped. But I genuinely feel like this is how I’m going to feel when it actually comes time. Not because I want more kids, but because I know that door is closing.

even if you guys decide one day you want another baby again he can always get it reversed. they say it's safer for a man to get it done and reversed many times versus a woman.
