@kattinsley_: Like the disconnect is because people are using a term loosely and not understanding that it is a political and economic ideology it’s not about love of self or community it’s about economics and politics. #problack #blacktiktokcommunity #datingwhileblack #realitycheck

Exactly, I went to a PWI, if it disqualifies me from being pro black. Then my loss. Can’t fight definition just because you don’t like them.

Who you choose to build family and generational wealth with is a part of your political and economical ideology. Particularly economic.

Pro blackness is also a lifestyle. If you surround yourself with non black people, especially when you can choose… then you are probably not that pro

Yep. Being pro Black is a commitment of your purse, household, dating preferences etc. People hear the requirements of being pro Black and want to tweak the definition because they are afraid of not being seen as pro Black when the reality is… the world will keep turning if you aren’t. Just do your best lmao

it's not an ideology it's a daily choice, most people choose the opposite daily, objectively working against your best interest objectively, daily

Not taking a side because I don’t like how mean these convos get online but a critical component of marriage is that it is an economic partnership so when your economic ideology and your most important economic partnership do not align… that creates room for the current questions and conversations.

ive been saying this since ive seen the discussion, so many people offended who by the very definition of the term wouldn't be pro Black, regardless of their non Black partners. Majority of our community isn't pro Black yet so the ones with non Black and white spouses are the last ones who needed to be talking lol

Educated queen❤️Blackness in itself has so many nuances, economical/class differentials, and not a monolith. I just want us to win, defend and take care of each other politically and economically.

Most Black ppl would not meet the requirements. lol. Economic? Political? If they didn't go to an HBCU or don't work for a Black-owned company then that disqualifies most of the community. No one mentions that though, and education + employment are two very political and economic decisions.

Can you be single and pro black? If so then once you date interracially you aren’t? And does dating interracial mainly refer to dating white or is does it include all non-American Black?
