We are looking at triple-digit temperatures for basically the next TWO WEEKS 😭😭😭 and I am over it. I talk a lot about gradually building heat tolerance and not being afraid of movement with POTS but there comes a point where it's just freaking HOT. And right now? I'm avoiding being outside unless I actually need to be. With POTS/dysautonomia, heat can make symptoms significantly harder to manage. So surviving weather like this isn't about proving how much heat you can tolerate. It's about being smart and working with your body. ☀️ Stay inside in the AC when you can. 🚗 Combine errands and avoid unnecessary trips outside. 💧 Start hydrating BEFORE you're thirsty. 🧂 Keep up with salt + electrolytes if they're part of your care plan. 💦 If you know you'll be outside, plan for extra fluids before, during, and afterward. 🧊 Use fans, cooling towels, ice packs whatever works. 🏋️ Move workouts to the early morning or evening when temperatures are lower. 👕 Wear lightweight, breathable clothing. 😎And if your symptoms start climbing, GO COOL DOWN. You do not get a gold star for pushing yourself until you're sick. There's a difference between gradually working on heat tolerance and trying to force your nervous system through 100°+ weather. Right now I'm choosing the AC, planning around the heat, staying hydrated, and getting outside when it makes sense. Survival mode until Oklahoma decides we're done living on the surface of the sun. 😂☀️ How are my fellow POTS people handling this heat?! #pots #dysautonomia #heatintolerance #heattolerance #hydration
