@manbehindmindshift360: YOUR CHILD NEEDS A LIFE OUTSIDE THE FAMILY HOME TOO. ❤️ Some parents want their children to: Go to school. Come straight home. Stay indoors. Avoid friends. Avoid parties. Avoid sleepovers. Avoid relationships. And somehow still grow into confident, socially capable adults. But social skills need practice. Age-appropriate friendships and activities can teach children how to: Communicate. Build confidence. Handle disagreements. Recognise unhealthy friendships. Set boundaries. Deal with rejection. Meet people from different backgrounds. And develop an identity outside their family. Of course, parents should know where younger children are going, who they are with and have sensible boundaries around safety. But protection should not become isolation. Your home should be your child’s foundation, not the only world they are allowed to experience. One day they will go to university, start working, move away or build relationships of their own. Prepare them gradually.
