For Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka a Suica card covers the exact same route for about $80. The pass only pays off for 5+ cities or long trips south. ✈️ Landing at Narita added 90 minutes to every trip. The Narita Express was 1h30 and $20 each way. Haneda is 25 minutes and $3 on the monorail. Most airlines default to Narita, so check both when you search flights. One more from experience: most generic eSIMs like Airalo, Holafly and Ubigi (and public WiFi) actually block TikTok, Instagram and your banking apps the moment you connect in Japan.
