Actually there’s no law a officer needs to verbally communicate ID or number. that’s a myth yet some Dept state if viable & not interfering with performance of said duties. In other words just walking up to any Leo at a scene traffic stop or investigating & including this motor officer monitoring traffic can ignore you.
