The west side is like this too!! The cats are EVERYWHERE. They have litter and food stations at the park on sunset and an empty lot on Schuyler & green.

No one wants to help the cats. I’m in South Utica and it’s a dumping ground over here. Spring comes and babies get made, all summer they’re coming around for food and then winter they’re suffering in the cold. Breaks my heart.

People need to keep their cats inside and spayed or neutered , they deserve food shelter and love . They populate so fast .... we need a catch and release to stop the uptick in population it's horrible where I'm at breaks my heart

We need a local vet to step up and help with ketch and release. We have absolutely no shortage on vets in the area. We no longer have spring farms that used to help with grants for low cost spay and neuter clinics. It should not cost 350 for a neuter and over 500 for a spay.

2 strays died near the property i rented- i called animal control + the city multiple times, asked a local vet, even went to city hall asking for help and who to talk - no help. we were left with 2 dead cats to figure out how to take care of on our own - i was distraught. ive had to move multiple dead animals out the roads, tried to save multiple, was able to home at least 4 strays. my whole life lived in utica the city has never helped with the living or dead animals when asked- only ever a few people in the community who had the means help
