Worse thing these days …. All garages believe they can do everything, which isn’t true but also please op don’t generalise all mechanics !!! Many multi skilled like myself …. Diagnostics specialist “ locals call me that 😂“ master Ecu tuner and all road 12v geek but locks are super easy when you know how they work !!! Do my fair share of Mercedes n vag 🤟😁

I was a 'mechanic' for 30+ years, I just vehicle test now for the DVSA (MOT tester). I changed plenty of these on VAG vehicle's, it's not difficult if you know what you're doing. Whoever did this and all the damage clearly didn't know what they were doing.

Common problem on the vw caddy get Barrel from Tps with new shear bolts there’s a pin hole along the barrel where you put in a pin and lock comes out 👍
