Hm, for me Moidori MD is a little bit too scratchy. Don‘t get me wrong. Its a fantastic paper and as long as you don’t touch it too often before you write on it, it delivers a crisp line, no feathering, no bleed through but…I hate the feeling as if I would write with a pancil instead of my fountain pens. Even with my heavily wet writing Pelikan Souverän M1000. Also with the Pilot 743 SM and SFM and the 823 F. So for myself I prefer the Tomoe River 52 and 68 gsm papers and the Clairefountain ones because the have the smoother surface while maintaining the same quality as the Midori in every other aspect.

Unfortunately MD isn’t white to see the real ink colors. And the cotton series paper can’t hold fountain pen ink.
