Sometimes I feel like although East Africa is known for Tourism on Safari particularly a place like Kenya can became the next srilanka or even Chantabhuri interms of a major natural gemstones hub but the right policies has to be put into place like Education,Low fees for export Licensing,...some people have garnets,Tsavorites,Sapphires in their shambas but die to lack of the right channels to capitalize on such opportunities it's just left to the incoming "tourists" for "exploration"

I think as a country we also have a very volatile population. We can easily be triggered and the next day we are on the streets demonstrating. This is one weakness that should be dealt with because the moment we start mining, the wazungu will spread misinformation through the commercial activists and we will find ourselves at war.
