@dianekraak1: Playground awareness. 😮‍💨 I’m still pissed about what happened, but I’m posting this for awareness. If your kid is the type who doesn’t listen when you call their name or doesn’t immediately come back, maybe hold their hand, follow them, or teach them not to touch things that aren’t theirs?? (I’m not saying the excavator was ours tho) My husband didn’t want to touch the other child, so he let Ate Cana do the big-sister role and help Raven get the excavator back. We didn’t see that the kid was pushing the excavator since he didn’t want to let go, until it turned toward me and Tori.. and unfortunately, Tori got hurt. Thankfully, it wasn’t that hard. Because if it was worse… girl. 😭 I might’ve gone viral in The Netherlands for “Pinay nag-eskandalo sa isang playground park.” 😂😭 Please keep an eye on your little ones. They’re kids, and they don’t always understand the consequences. That’s exactly why we need to be more attentive. Because if the situation were reversed and it was your child who got hurt, I don’t think you’d like it either. 🙄🙄 #awareness

Yeah I’d be parenting them & then if they don’t listen I’d be removing them from the situation. Let the parent have a problem with it. They know they’re wrong. I don’t tolerate the behavior. I just don’t. I personally think they do it on purpose. Not trying me 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I always say, "oops this is a one kid toy! it looks really fun doesn't it? do you want to wait your turn with me?" and then I say to my child, "they want to play, too! when you're ready you can give it to them"

yung 2 year old ko nasa spectrum kaya todo bantay talaga ako sa knya pag nasa playground kmi, minsan hinahayaan ko lang sya mag-laro laro pero pag nakikita ko na ppntahan nya na ibang bata or mangunguha na sya ng laruan sa iba talagang hahabulin ko sya at kukunin.. kaya ndi talaga excuse kung may something sa bata..

Am I a bad parent? Because I’ve physically moved kids hands away if they tried to continuously touch things my kids were playing with first. Or just straight up tell the other kids to stop and wait their turn.

Kids don’t know better unless they are taught, which alot obviously aren’t. So as the adult, use your words with their adults .

I have definitely spoken to other children calmly about their behavior when my nephew was using something in a play area. with the parent fully aware and watching.

Pretty simple you say no touching please you have to wait your turn he can figure it out on his own and I’d stand in the way so they can’t keep touching

As a mother of 5, I have encountered these situations a few times. I will loudly say ‘NO SIR! NOT YOUR TURN!’ If they don’t stop, I loudly say ‘WHO EVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS CHILD COME GET YOUR CHILD’
