@thotline_news: 21st August 2026 - Just my opinion. You're gonna see a lot of the far right switching narratives now that the "small boats crisis" isn't really a thing #unitedkingdom #smallboats #France #reformuk #restorebritain

It’s almost as if having closer ties and relationships with your closest neighbours can have positive effects. Who would have thought. Certainly not farage fan boys

Did slashing benefits and doing various other austerity measures work in the past? From what I’ve heard it didn’t

The reason they are trying to use shock value is because The entire summer Nigel Farages name was synonymous with the words Binface, Five MILLION POUNDS, Thailand, Crypto billionaire, investigation, and corruption. People nation wide were laughing at the Reform party brand.

I really hope that reform are done for, Farage is at his lowest approval rating I think ever? I just hope we can finally move past this because if they ever get in this country will suffer greatly I fear.

Anti-Run Run Club :
It sounds good but when you break down the numbers, it essentially costs £200k to stop each boat crossing, at a total cost of around 55 million across 3 months. That's if you take the total 3 year budget we've paid France to crack down on illegal immigration. - I don't particularly care about immigration, but I do run businesses and the fiscal mismanagement of this entire agreement is what really pisses me off.

or... look at it as this government absolutely could have stopped the boats whenever they felt like it, but are only doing it now because if they don't they'll be voted out

I think it has a lot to do with this - debt interest per annum £130bn. Then there is the question of tax evasion.
