Your reaction towards this is correct & I agree 100%. However, seeing their content I can’t help but feel this is just their form of meta-critic. And I do feel the level of authority we gave imam and what they do with it does warrant this kind of reaction. These sheikhs are supposed to be wise yet they keep dehumanizing women. Ayah and the gang are just a byproduct of that. Maybe it’s a lesson for us to have a room internally for people to solve this kind of problem, so that they don’t resort to humiliations like this.
