Loving someone with bipolar disorder can be beautiful, but it can also come with challenges that people on the outside may not understand. There may be moments of deep connection, moments of confusion, emotional changes, depression, mania, irritability, withdrawal, or behaviors that are difficult to understand. But behind the diagnosis is still a person who wants to be loved, understood, respected, and accepted. Loving someone with bipolar disorder doesn’t mean excusing hurtful behavior or ignoring your own needs. It means learning about the illness, communicating openly, setting healthy boundaries, encouraging treatment and support, and remembering that neither person has to navigate it alone. And if you have bipolar disorder yourself, please remember this: you are not your diagnosis. You are still worthy of healthy love, patience, understanding, and meaningful relationships. Your diagnosis may explain some of the things you experience, but it does not determine your character or your ability to love. Sometimes loving someone means standing beside them. Sometimes it means giving them space. Sometimes it means encouraging them to get help. And sometimes it means protecting your own peace while still caring about them. Healthy love isn’t about being perfect. It’s about learning, communicating, taking accountability, forgiving when appropriate, and growing together. To anyone loving someone with bipolar disorder: your compassion matters. And to anyone living with bipolar disorder: you deserve to be loved as a whole person, not judged by your hardest moments. #fyp #bipolar #bipolar2 #bipolardisorder #bipolar1

The office of the CEO of Vanguard Solutions usually smelled of freshly ground coffee, expensive perfume, and leather. But if you asked Lena’s secretary, they knew one specific scent always dominated the afternoon: Wintermelon Milk Tea with extra pearls, 100% sweetness. For Lena, the sweet milk tea with chewy tapioca pearls was the only fuel keeping her awake through endless board meetings and financial reports. She was in the middle of signing a multimillion-dollar contract when her office door swung open. No knock. Only two people in the world had the audacity to do that: the building's bouncer (who would never) and her wife, Miu. "Hi, love," Lena greeted, her eyes still glued to her laptop screen while her left hand blindly searched her desk to grab her favorite cup. Clink. Instead of plastic, her fingers brushed against a cold, powder-coated surface. She looked up to see a giant, pastel-pink AquaFlask blocking her view. "Drink," Miu ordered simply. One of her eyebrows was arched, her arms were crossed, and she wore the expression Lena knew all too well—'Wifey Mode.' "Miu, come on," Lena pleaded, throwing in the pout she reserved strictly for her wife. "I'm in the middle of a very important budget review. My brain needs sugar." "You've been doing that budget review since this morning, Lena. And I've also noticed your tumbler hasn't moved an inch since this morning," Miu said firmly. She stepped closer and confiscated the plastic cup hidden behind Lena's desk organizer. "I'm taking this. One more sip of this and you'll practically turn into sugar yourself." "You're exaggerating," Lena mumbled, reluctantly pulling the giant flask toward her. "Milk tea isn't lethal." "No, but kidney stones are," Miu countered, sitting on the edge of Lena's desk. Her expression softened just a fraction. "Love, you had almost three cups of milk tea yesterday. Then last night, you woke up with leg cramps because you were severely dehydrated. I'm just looking after you." Lena let out a soft sigh. Defeated by logic—and her wife’s stubborn care. No matter how intimidating or cutthroat she was in front of investors, around Miu, she was completely defenseless. Lena unscrewed the cap and drank. The water was ice-cold and, truthfully, incredibly refreshing. When she set the flask down, she saw Miu smiling triumphantly. "Good girl," Miu said, gently stroking Lena’s hair. "Finish that before 5 PM, okay? If you do, I'll let you have the last few sips of your milk tea." "Really?" Lena’s eyes lit up like a kid's. "Yes. But we're doing 50% sweetness next time, okay?" "Fine, fine. You're already sweet enough anyway, I'm practically full," Lena teased, winking. Miu laughed, a light blush creeping up her cheeks. She leaned down to kiss Lena's forehead before standing up. "Smooth talker. Get back to work. And don't even think about pouring that water out—I'm tracking the level." "Yes, boss," Lena smiled. As she watched her wife walk out of the office, Lena looked down at the pink tumbler and chuckled. Milk tea was great, but nothing beat the sweet feeling of being loved and looked after by Miu. She picked up the flask and took another long sip, a warm smile lingering on her lips. #oneshot #au #lenamiu #lena #miu
