I really liked Zaheer, i do wish the writers did a bit more research into anarchism though, and didn’t pull the classic “our villain is too correct, better have him try to randomly kill a bunch of innocents to provoke the protagonist”

Zaheer was a fraud and always went after people who were weaker than him, any time he stepped to a master he lost and he was supposedly the best martial artist in the world. Kya bodied him, Tenzin straight up destroyed him and he played mind games with Korra he physically could not keep up with her and this was proven multiple times. Korras dad bested him. Zaheer was honestly carried by his team he was the planner

Zaheer is an excellent antagonist—not because of his strength, but because of his intelligence and his worldview. He may hold a destructive view of hierarchy and monarchy in general, but the way he champions his values can literally win you over. He is well-written.

I just don’t understand how zaheer is the only villain who stayed true to his morals= zaheer is the best villain in the show. One could argue that zhao choosing death over letting Zuko save him is him staying true to his morals, but no one’s arguing zhao is the greatest atla villain. Imo, watching a villain struggle between their objectives and what they individually want is so much more interesting than watching a villain absolutely sure in their convictions stop at nothing to achieve their goal.
